A Middle School That Gives You The Choice
King's Magna offers an exciting glimpse into the opportunities that await students at College and Faculty. The school serves as a supportive bridge between primary and secondary education, providing an inspiring environment where students can explore their interests.
Years 6 to 9 are a time of discovery. Our team of specialist Key Stage 3 teachers encourages students to develop their passions, while the curriculum introduces a wealth of subjects and enrichment opportunities.
Choice is championed at King's Magna. Each term, students select two additional lessons beyond the national curriculum, allowing them to explore academic, creative, or sporting interests within their timetabled week. With a diverse range of activities available, students are empowered to try new things, uncover hidden talents, and nurture their strengths.
In Year 9, this freedom expands as students explore four potential GCSE subjects, helping them make informed choices for their future studies at Faculty or College.
Enrichment
Time to discover what you love.
There is so much to enjoy and learn from outside of the classroom so King’s Magna timetables two hours of enrichment activities each week. There are over 70 activities to choose from – all great opportunities to explore new hobbies and interests, to build confidence and to develop important skills and aptitudes such as teamwork, communication, resilience and much more.
What our students say:
Discover why our students love to be in King's Magna Middle School. Two students from Years 6 and talk about their experience of the two-hour timetabled enrichment activities each week and how it has helped them develop as students.
A Community That Supports You
With small class sizes and a secure and dedicated space, King’s Magna offers a warm and welcoming learning environment where every pupil knows that they belong.
Our Heads of Year and Wellbeing team work together to ensure pupils are happy, engaged and thriving. Heads of Year monitor pupil progress and form tutors meet with their forms three times each week to share news or opportunities around school.
Space To Be Yourself
The Wellbeing team provides support and a comforting space for anyone needing a helping hand.
As well as enrichment activities at lunchtime, students can attend one of the 30 Wellbeing Sessions available each week. Our dedicated Pastoral Centre is also a relaxing space for students to chat to staff, read magazines, play games or to enjoy a hot chocolate.
