Queen Ethelburga's Celebrating GCSE Results Success

Queen Ethelburga’s Celebrates Outstanding 2024 GCSE Results Success

Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate (QE) is celebrating a remarkable achievement with the announcement of the 2024 GCSE results. Students, parents, and staff across the campus are thrilled with the success of the Year 11 cohort, who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance.

Located near York, Harrogate, and Leeds in Thorpe Underwood, Queen Ethelburga’s boasts two senior schools – QE Faculty and QE College – which benefit from a modern, well-equipped campus. This unique structure provides students with personalised care, tailored guidance, and an innovative curriculum designed to meet each individual's needs.

This year, students at both QE Faculty and QE College achieved exceptional results, with an impressive 62% of grades ranging from 7-9 (A*/A). Across the curriculum, all students have gained a broad range of qualifications, reflecting their hard work and determination.

Head of QE Faculty, Lauren Blakeley, expressed her pride in the students, stating,

"The GCSE results from our Year 11 students are simply outstanding. It's about more than just the grades – it's about seeing these young individuals, some of whom we've known for many years, fulfil their aspirations and move forward into A Levels with ambition and confidence."

Principal Daniel Machin offered his congratulations on GCSE Results Day 2024:

"Congratulations to all our students for their fantastic results. Success like this doesn’t happen overnight – it’s the result of consistent hard work from the students, unwavering dedication from our staff, and incredible support from parents and guardians. We look forward to welcoming everyone back soon as they begin their Sixth Form journey."
