Yorkshire Independent School Celebrates A Level League Table Positions
Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate (QE), a leading Yorkshire independent school, is celebrating remarkable success in their recent A Level, BTEC, and GCSE results. Across the two senior schools, QE College and QE Faculty, the combined percentage of A*/A grades in A Levels stands at an impressive 78%, while QE Faculty achieved 73% in BTEC Distinction* and Distinction grades. Additionally, Year 11 students at QE secured 62% of grades 7-9 in their GCSEs.
These exceptional outcomes have positioned QE College and QE Faculty as 1st and 2nd in Yorkshire for independent school A Level results, according to league tables recently published in The Telegraph and The Times. Notably, QE College has also been ranked as the top independent school in the North of England for both A Level and GCSE results, a recognition mirrored by the Sunday Times Parent Power 2024, which confirmed QE College’s dominance in the region for the third consecutive year. QE Faculty, known for its bespoke performance pathways in sports and the arts, earned a commendable 7th place in the North of England for academic performance.
Principal Daniel Machin expressed his pride, stating,
“We are immensely proud of our students – not only for their academic achievements but for the well-rounded, resilient individuals they have become. Our two senior schools provide diverse options, allowing each student to find the right path for success, both academically and beyond the classroom.”
This year, many QE students gained admission to top universities, including Oxford, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics, Durham, and King’s College London.
As a standout Yorkshire independent school, Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate continues to set high standards, preparing its students for bright futures.
