This course aims to develop leadership potential and talent, by promoting ‘bigger picture thinking' amongst participants, from organisational culture and enterprise to a senior leader's social responsibilities for ethical and sustainable leadership, in order to sustain growth and performance for the organisation and its stakeholders. For 12 months from the start of the course you will have access to mentoring from an existing and access to a Career Coach.
The course will involve attendance at 5 interactive face-to-face training days focusing on the following topics:
- Leading People
- Leading Strategy and Organisational Decision Making
- The challenge of Organisational Culture
- The Entrepreneurial Element
- Reflection on Workplace Shadowing and Action Plans*

The course consists of presentations, case studies, scenarios and visiting speakers, with dedicated time for discussion, group work and networking. During and between sessions, you will have access to a set of leadership development tools, resources, blogs and research accessed via the Institute of Leadership’s online “My Leadership” learning portal. You will leave each session with practical ideas, activities and strategies to implement with your team, peers and existing senior leaders. The course will be assessed by continuous observation of your contribution to discussion and completion of inter-sessional tasks. On completion of the programme, you will receive an Institute of Leadership digital credential in addition to an endorsed certificate of achievement. * Between Day 4 and 5 it is expected that you will commit to one day shadowing an existing senior leader, ideally outside of your organisation, which we can assist in arranging.
