The RLSS NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and is internationally recognised. More than 46,000 people complete the NPLQ each year across the UK. The RLSS is Ofqual regulated.

QE Training Academy is an RLSS Approved Training Centre for the delivery and assessment of the NPLQ. We are subject to an annual audit to maintain this status. Our RLSS Approved Trainer Assessor, will lead your course which will cover topics such as:
- Pool Rescue Techniques
- Lifeguarding Theory
- First Aid and CPR
- Timed swims
- Lifting casualties
- Diving to the deepest part of the swimming pool.
- The assessment is split into three sections:
- Practical pool assessment
- Theory Assessment
- Practical First Aid & CPR assessment
On completion of this course, you will receive a RLSS (UK) NPLQ certificate, valid for 2 years from the date of issue. A further 20 hours of ongoing training and competency assessment must be completed before you can renew your qualification prior to the expiry of your existing qualification.
